Position: Accountant I Location: Dalhart Headquarters Job Description
Accounting duties including but not limited to tasks associated with general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, plant accounting records, State and Federal reporting, and carrier access billing. Degree in Accounting or related business Field plus 3 years experience in accounting (ideally in the utility industry) is preferred.
Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of accounting activities. Must be capable of prioritizing tasks and completing projects in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. Must maintain a thorough knowledge of all computer applications pertinent to the position.

XIT Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is currently hiring temporary construction labor. Duties include performing work in connection with construction, maintenance, operation, and servicing of CATV and telephone lines, instruments, and related equipment. Construction duties including but not limited to placement and repair of buried and aerial cable. Temporary position – requires teamwork and physical exertion including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying. This position requires working with low dc voltage, working in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions including severe weather. Successful applicant must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs without restriction. Will be required to pass drug testing and take a physical.
