XIT MAGIC MAIL EMAIL INFORMATION

When setting up a mail client for your XIT email on a laptop, tablet or smart phone, you will be asked for some programming details about your XIT email account. Below is the information you may need to know in order to set up your email account on a device. This information is provided as a courtesy to our customers. XIT is not a wireless provider anymore and will not be responsible for the programming of email information into any device. Please contact your wireless provider if you encounter any issues with programming. XIT is not liable for any issues that may arise when programming such devices.

 

IMAP Account Setup:
Email: full XIT email address (ex. Jdoe2125@xit.net)

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: mail.xit.net
User Name: full XIT email address (ex. Jdoe2125@xit.net)
Password: XIT email password
Port: 993
Use SSL: on

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: mail.xit.net
User Name: full XIT email address (ex. Jdoe2125@xit.net)

STARTTLS: needs to be checked

XIT Wireless Router Information:
This information is for XIT Internet customers who were provided with an XIT-owned Wi-Fi router.

  • XIT provides each customer with a Network Name and Password for each Gigaspire Blast that is provided to the customer. Customer will need to keep this information handy where they can access it if needed.

  • XIT Communications will lease, at no charge, a Gigaspire Blast to residential Internet customers. The Blast allows XIT to troubleshoot Internet and wireless issues remotely.

  • Customer acknowledges that the Blast remains the property of XIT Communications. If services are disconnected, customer’s failure to return the Gigaspire Blast will result in the customer being charged for cost of the unit.

  • Customer acknowledges that if the equipment fails due to abuse, misuse, or neglect, a replacement will only be provided at the expense of the customer. If the equipment fails, with no fault of the customer, XIT will replace the failed equipment at no charge.

  • The Gigaspire Blast will only operate on XIT’s network.

  • XIT makes no warranty as to wireless signal strength or speed.
