2024 RECIPIENTS

Haden Alston
Texline High School
Haden is the son of Eric and Stephanie Alston. The Alstons are members of XIT’s Texline Exchange. Hayden is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, he plans to attend West Texas A&M University in Canyon to major in Finance. Hayden would like to become a licensed Financial Advisor or one day own a business in his desired field of work. Haden says in his essay, “A college education will help me achieve these goals by giving me valuable tools and information, while also giving me experience in the financial world.”

Keon Cruz
Texline High School
Keon is the son of Rebecca Eudy. Rebecca is a member of XIT’s Texline Exchange. Keon is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, he plans to attend Frank Phillips College to receive a Class A CDL or a Welding Certificate. In the future, Keon would like to work for a local company that provides trucking employment or maybe do welding for a local company.

Dathan Nicholson
Texline High School
Dathan is the son of Danny and Deniece Nicholson. The Nicholsons are members of XIT’s Texline Exchange. Dathan is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, he plans to attend Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. He plans to dual major in Biology and Philosophy. Dathan would one day like to focus on the field of Pathology and Laboratory research. In Dathan’s essay, he says, “I have dreams, unending ambition, and an obligation to this world. I will strive with all my being to do more, learn more, and to lead my efforts to the benefit of us all.”

Mila Thompson
Stratford High School
Mila is the daughter of Monte and Jessica Thompson. The Thompsons are members of XIT’s Kerrick Exchange. Mila is a senior at Stratford High School. After high school graduation, she plans to attend West Texas A&M University in Canyon to major in Animal Science. In the future, Mila would like to become a Veterinary Assistant. In her essay, she says, “My aspirations are to enjoy my career, give back to my community, and be able to give my kids the best life possible. Attending college will make way for a better chance of being hired for a successful occupation that will allow me to be able to support my family and community.”
