Hayden Albert
Texline High School
Hayden Albert is the son of Christopher and Danielle Albert. The Alberts are members of XIT’s Texline Exchange. Hayden is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, Hayden plans to attend Texas Tech University and earn a degree in Chemical Engineering. Hayden states in his essay, “I wish to attend college to build a future for me and my family, present and to come. In the next 10 years I would like to be using my degree to pursue my love for chemistry wherever that may be.” |

Brandis Beavers
Dalhart High School
Brandis Beavers is the daughter of Brandon and Jennifer Beavers. The Beavers are members of XIT’s Coldwater Exchange. Brandis is a senior at Dalhart High School. After high school graduation, she plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Ag Communications. She hopes to double major in either Marketing or Applied Economics. In her essay she says, “In ten years, I hope to be advocating for the ag industry. I have been blessed to grow up in an agricultural community, which means I have a good understanding of where my food, fiber, and fuel come from. I want to share this beauty and knowledge with others who have not had the same opportunity.” |

Mason Lavake is the son of Marcus and Ashly Lavake. The Lavakes are members of XIT’s Lautz Exchange. Mason is a senior at Stratford High School. After high school graduation, Mason plans to attend West Texas A&M University to obtain a degree in Agribusiness and a minor in Agronomy. Mason states in his essay, “In ten years, I envision myself having completed my education, earning a degree in Agribusiness with a minor in Agronomy. I hope to be working alongside my dad, learning the ropes as I prepare to take over the family farm upon his retirement. It's important to me to keep our family farm thriving, as I believe that farmers and ranchers play a crucial role in sustaining our communities and feeding the nation, an aspect I am passionate about sharing with others.” |

Brando is the son of Gerard Martinez, who is a member of XIT’s Texline Exchange. Brando is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, Brando plans to attend Amarillo College to obtain his HVAC certificate. Brando states in his essay, “I plan to be the first in my family to seek education past high school. I have been accepted to Amarillo College where I will seek an HVAC Certification. I enjoy working with my hands and HVAC is a valuable and in demand trade. My long-term goal is to have gained enough education and experience to eventually own and operate my own business in HVAC within the next ten years. By providing quality HVAC services I hope to give back to my community and help others.” |

Rett Wann is the son of Lance and Rebecca Wann. The Wanns are members of XIT’s Bunkerhill Exchange. Rett is a senior at Texline High School. After high school graduation, he plans to attend West Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Ag Business and Economics. In 10 years, Rett plans to be working a job where he can help farmers and ranchers. In his essay he says, “Though I am uncertain in the area of agriculture, I am certain of the difference I want to make to this industry I feel so passionate about. I plan to stay in the Texas panhandle after college due to the large agricultural footprint that is here. I love this area and the people. I hope that I can give back to this area that has been so generous to me.” |
